About
A Folkestone firm, with a tunnel on the doorstep
We work this town and the coast either side of it, and we run cross-channel moves as a lead service rather than a sideline. The second of those is geography, not marketing — the Channel Tunnel terminal is at Cheriton.
What we do
Household removals across CT19 and CT20 — houses, flats, and the man-and-van end of the work. Packing in whatever depth you want, export wrapping for anything crossing a border, storage between completions, studio and workshop moves, and removals from Folkestone to France, Spain, Italy and Portugal.
Why a small patch
Because the knowledge is the service. Knowing that the Old High Street cannot take a Luton, that Leas lifts were retrofitted and are small, that Sandgate High Street is a place to drive through rather than park on, and that Hawkinge gets frost when the seafront does not — none of that is available to a firm covering the whole of Kent.
It also means small jobs are worth doing properly. A firm driving in from thirty miles away has to charge for the driving. We do not.
The cross-channel side
Most removals firms list European moves among their services. Here it is a lead service, and the reason is simply where we are. The tunnel terminal at Cheriton is inside the town, so the leg that every other firm has to build into a French job — getting the loaded vehicle to Kent — does not exist for us.
There is a second advantage that matters more and gets mentioned less: on Le Shuttle the vehicle drives on and off with your goods aboard, so the crossing adds no handling point at all. Handling is where damage happens. Removing one is worth more than the hour it also saves.
We are also clear about where that advantage is largest. On a France move it is substantial. On a Portugal move it is a smaller share of a much longer journey, and we say so rather than repeating the same claim on every route page. The detail is on cross-channel removals.
How we work
We look first
On anything above a single room, somebody looks at the property — at the door or on a video call — before a number is written down. In a town built on a hill that is not optional.
Quotes in writing
Measured volume, crew, vehicle, packing depth and cover. On a cross-channel job, whether it is export or domestic packing — which is where most cheap quotes on this route hide.
One point of contact
The person who takes your brief still knows the job when you ring three weeks later.
Protection as standard
Blankets, covers, door-frame and floor protection — and protection for communal hallways and lift interiors, which belong to other residents rather than to you.
What we do not do
We do not quote before we understand the job. We do not promise a transit time we cannot stand behind. We do not describe ourselves as local to towns we do not know street by street — Dover in particular is its own place with its own movers. And we do not claim awards, accreditations, press coverage or customer numbers we have not got; if it is not on this site, it is because it is not true yet.
Cover
Goods in transit and storage cover are in place, with the usual conditions around owner-packed cartons and items of unusual value. Declare anything genuinely valuable at survey and we will confirm in writing what applies. The contractual position is on the terms page.
Getting hold of us
The quote form is quickest. Contact has the rest, questions covers what comes up first, and areas we cover shows exactly where our ground runs out.
Next step
Tell us about the move
Both addresses, the floor at each end, and roughly what is going. If it is heading through the tunnel, say where in Europe. We will come back with a written quote.
