To a European move, yes — a real one. The terminal at Cheriton is minutes from most Folkestone addresses, so a load packed at your door is on a shuttle the same morning rather than after a day of driving across Kent first. It takes a leg out of the job that everybody else has to pay for.
Not far up it. The Old High Street is steep, narrow and partly stepped, and the surrounding lanes are no better. We park where a Luton legally can and shuttle in with a smaller van. It costs extra hands rather than causing drama, provided it is planned.
Handsome buildings, awkward moves. Many are converted Victorian and Edwardian houses with staircases that turn twice before the first landing, and lifts — where they exist — that were retrofitted and are small. Measure the lift door and tell us the floor.

Packing built for more handling and more hours on the road than a domestic move: heavier cartons, moisture protection on upholstery, cases for framed work, crating for stone and glass tops. It also assumes the load may be opened at a border, so the inventory has to match what is in each carton.
From here, Le Shuttle at Cheriton almost always — it is on the doorstep and it is quicker end to end. The Dover ferry is occasionally the better answer for a very large or very tall vehicle, and we will use it where that is the case.

Yes. Send the collection address, the delivery address and a photo of the item. If it will not go through the door at your end we would rather know from the photo than on the pavement.
Yes. Kilns, presses, plan chests, framed stock and half-finished work. It needs discussing rather than booking — some of it is heavier or more fragile than it looks, and a few pieces genuinely need specialist handling.
As soon as you have a date, even provisional. Cross-channel jobs want more notice than local ones because materials, vehicle space and paperwork all have to line up.
Your goods share a vehicle with other consignments heading the same way, so you pay for the space you occupy rather than a whole lorry. It suits smaller loads and flexible dates. The trade-off is more handlings and a delivery window rather than a named day.
We do, from the survey inventory. Since the UK left the EU a household move needs a proper packing list and the destination country's transfer-of-residence process. We tell you what has to come from you, and when.
We will quote across the boundary, but our ground is Folkestone and the CT19/CT20 core out to Hythe, Sandgate, Cheriton and Hawkinge. Dover is its own town with its own movers, and we would rather be honest about where we actually know the streets.
